Important instructions on how to use BANGER ROPES safely

Handle with Care: BANGER ROPES are classified as Explosives 1.4G (UN number 0431), intended for technical pyrotechnic purposes. CE NUMBER 1395-P1-0274/2015 – SOUND EMITTER. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment when handling and lighting banger ropes.

Professional Use Only: BANGER ROPES are designed for professional agricultural bird scaring in open fields. They are not intended for use as fireworks.

Usage Guidelines: BANGER ROPES burn for approximately 5 – 6 hours for day ropes and up to 12 hours for continuation ropes. (Note: Burning time may be faster in windy conditions). Place bangers equal distances apart to explode at 15 – 30 minute intervals.

Safety Precautions:

  • Do not hang banger ropes where the general public could tamper with them.
  • Avoid hanging banger ropes on public footpaths or bridleways.
  • Be mindful of neighboring livestock near the banger rope site.
  • Keep away from flammable materials and gases.

Lighting and Handling:

  • Never light the fuse of a banger.
  • Do not hold the rope during lighting or once it is alight.
  • Do not dismantle the rope or bangers.
  • Never remove an individual banger off the rope.
  • Never relight a banger rope that has been extinguished.

Disposal Instructions:

  • If a banger falls and does not explode, leave it untouched for at least 6 hours, then pick up with tongs and soak in water for 24 hours before disposal.
  • Do not attempt to re-light or dispose of bangers that have been soaked in water and subsequently dried out.
  • Loose bangers should be soaked in water for 24 hours before disposal.

Storage and Age:

  • Store in a cool, dry place, away from sources of ignition and flammable materials.
  • Use within 5 years of purchase.
  • Not for sale or use by persons under 18 years of age.
