1,000 Litre Insulated CAT5 Type AB Air Gap Break Tank

The insulated 1000 Litre Type AB Air Gap Break Tank Cat5 is fitted with 13mm or 25mm insulation and a Type AB-Air gap with weir overflow (Fluid 5), which is a non-mechanical backflow prevention arrangement of fittings in compliance with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 in England and Wales and the technically identical Scottish Water Byelaws 2004. The installation and use of cold water storage cisterns and sectional tanks connected to the public water supply must comply with these conditions.

These INS171310CAT5 1000 Litre Type AB Air Gap Break Tank Cat5 are made from rotationally moulded polyethene, fitted with a cowled overflow to prevent the ingress of light into the tank and a stainless steel mesh to prevent the ingress of debris into the tank. Larger weirs can be specially made for larger inlets.

This arrangement of fittings for compliance with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 in England and Wales and the technically identical Scottish Water Byelaws 2004. The installation and use of cold water storage cisterns and sectional tanks connected to the public water supply must comply with these conditions. This portable tank is WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme) approved, insulated options are available if required. This break tank is supplied with the screened overflow and weir installed to meet the requirements of WRAS Fluid Category 5 Break Tanks, also known as a Fluid Cat 5 break tank, Fluid Cat 5 tank and Fluid Cat 5 booster set tanks.

This water tank is available with options including liquid level sensor assemblies, and fill pipes.  Other options and modifications to suit your application including BSP threaded inlets, outlets, PN16 and ANSI flanges with backing rings, welded sockets and as well as fume proof lids and vents.
