MJP Supplies is making its third consecutive appearance at Cereals 2025 and has increased its presence by a third, too!
The company, which is the UK distributor of the seaweed-based biostimulant Algifol and a Porkek, Enduramaax and Tuffa stockist, has taken a larger stand at this year’s event.
“We saw footfall to our stand increase significantly at last year’s show, so we’ve decided, since sales have increased for us year on year, to have a larger presence at Cereals 2025,” says Marcus Palmer, owner of MJP Supplies. “And actually, we need a larger stand this year as representatives from Portek will join us on our stand highlighting their sprayers, chainsaws, log splitters and bird-scaring products. As we also offer Endurmaax and Tuffa tanks, they will both feature prominently, too.
“As 2025 is our 20th year representing Algifol in the UK, we will also be running a celebratory competition on the stand, giving people the chance to win one of 20 discount vouchers ranging from one to twenty per cent. To enter, people just hand their business card when visiting our stand or fill in a simple entry form.”
Developed in Germany by Neo-Med Pharma, Algifol is concentrated brown algae gathered from the North Atlantic. It is dried and refined to maximise its wealth of trace elements, vitamins, enzymes, amino acids, carbohydrates, polyuronides and growth-regulating plant hormones.
Applied by knapsack, trailed or mounted sprayers or planes, Algifol is used worldwide on a diverse range of crops, including bananas, grapes, tea, potatoes and cereals. In the UK, the majority of Marcus’ customers are growing potatoes, oilseed rape and sugar beet, with the manufacturer NeoMed-Pharma recommending four applications of one litre of Algifol diluted at a ratio of up to 1:1,000.
In the two decades of representing Algifol, Marcus has sold more than 100,000 litres of the biostimulant to UK farmers, with many being repeat customers satisfied with the improvements they’ve seen in their crops.
“Biostimulants have become commonplace in the last few years, but there is a growing trend of brands overcomplicating their product ranges and encouraging growers to buy one product for potatoes, another for cereals and another for peas or sugar beet. There’s no need to do that with Algifol. The formula is highly effective across all crops and requires just four applications of one litre of Algifol diluted at a ratio of up to 1:1,000,” adds Marcus.
Algifol is available in one-litre cans for £21.99 + VAT, ten-litre cans (£151 + VAT), and 1,000-litre reusable bulk containers (with sliding-scale pricing depending on quantities).
